Internship Programme

Endorsed by the Global Services Skills Council (GSSC), an Internship Programme was launched in 2021 as a win-win initiative that exposes potential employees who are completing their tertiary studies, to possible career pathways in the industry and gives firms within the industry a close-up view of potential hires.

The programme provides first-hand exposure to the sector and the opportunities available within based on their field of study. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for full-time employment and a career in chosen pathway in the GSS upon completion. The GSS Pilot Internship Programme is two-fold:

  • It provides a framework by which tertiary students from diverse background will gain exposure to the Global Services Sector through assignments at GSS firms to enhance their educational¬†experience in the world of work.
  • It provides GSS firms with qualified students who specialize in various professional fields in targeted higher value-added segments of the GSS

In 2021, a total of 21 interns were trained, with 50% being hired upon completion.
