Internship Programme

Endorsed by the Global Services Skills Council (GSSC), an Internship Programme was launched in 2021 as a win-win initiative that exposes potential employees who are completing their tertiary studies, to possible career pathways in the industry and gives firms within the industry a close-up view of potential hires.

The programme provides first-hand exposure to the sector and the opportunities available within based on their field of study. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for full-time employment and a career in chosen pathway in the GSS upon completion. The GSS Pilot Internship Programme is two-fold:

  • It provides a framework by which tertiary students from diverse background will gain exposure to the Global Services Sector through assignments at GSS firms to enhance their educational experience in the world of work.
  • It provides GSS firms with qualified students who specialize in various professional fields in targeted higher value-added segments of the GSS

In 2021, a total of 21 interns were trained, with 50% being hired upon completion.
