The Global Services Sector (GSS) Project is a 5-year project funded by the Inter-American Development Bank that seeks to provide Jamaicans with access to training and better jobs in the global services sector, namely in knowledge process outsourcing, information technology outsourcing and business process outsourcing.
The Loan was signed on January 24, 2019, between the Government of Jamaica and the Inter-American Development Bank under the Executing Agency, the Jamaica Promotions Corporation.
We provide training support to firms in the industry through the GSS Apprenticeship Programme, a 12-month curriculum offered to firms to upskill their employees to fill mid-management and leadership roles. Firms can email us at infocompetitivefund_gss@jamprocorp.com to get started.
The GSS Apprenticeship Programme is offered to employees through an agreement with the firms. Currently, firms must apply on behalf of their employees.
The GSS Project has developed the GSS Career Pathway Framework (CPF). This tool provides access to information on invaluable opportunities available within the industry in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO), Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and Digital Media Services segments.
